I’ve shot some of Boston and Chicago, so it was only a matter of time before i had a chance to shoot some New York iPhonography. Here are a few images from my recent trip to New York, all taken and edited on my iPhone. It’s amazing what the cameras that we have in our phones can actually capture these days! All of the following images were shot from Gantry Plaza State Park and Queensbridge Park, in Queens New York, overlooking the East River at Manhattan. You can spot the Empire State Building in several of the images! I used an iPhone 5s to create the images and then processed them with the Photoshop Express App, which I highly recommend for all photo enthusiasts! I also talk about the Photoshop App in the Photoshop for the iPhone post and the Chicago iPhonography post.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing portraits for the Wells twins over several years now, and it is always a fun adventure! These two young men are very animated with completely different personalities, and they are a blast to chase around and photograph, and I do mean chase! These fellas don’t stay in one place for too long! It’s a little like sports photography, if truth be told, but it’s always a good time. For the shoot we went up to “Twin Falls”, no pun intended, also known as “Eastatoe Falls”, located in Pickens County SC. It’s great place to shoot and very simple to get to. A scenic drive and a very short hike, and you’re there!
I even caught a great shot of mom and dad, while they watched the boys play!
